Yorktown got themselves on the board against Louise on Friday, but Louise never followed suit. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 44-0 win over the Hornets. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 24 points or more this season.

Brody Metting had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 177 yards and one TD on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 160 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven passes. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Yorktown's leading receiver Matthew Olguin was Metting's top target yet again, picking up 133 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Yorktown was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 289 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 203 rushing yards in eight consecutive games dating back to last season.

Yorktown's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points over those games. As for Louise, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Yorktown wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 49-22 loss against Falls City on the 31st. As for Louise, they have also already played their next contest, a 56-6 defeat against Shiner on the 31st.
