Basketball Recap: Argonaut Finds Playoff Glory Versus Ripon Christian

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Argonaut walked away with it. They came out on top against the Ripon Christian Knights by a score of 56-44 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won nine in a row.

Argonaut's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alayna Critchfield led the charge by dropping a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards. Critchfield is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynn Begovich, who posted 15 points along with five assists and five boards.

Argonaut pushed their record up to 20-11 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points over those games. As for Ripon Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.
