Softball Game Preview: East Jackson Eagles vs. Hart County Bulldogs

The East Jackson Eagles will challenge the Hart County Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. East Jackson hasn't scored more than two runs for four games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

East Jackson fell victim to Prince Avenue Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 11-0 to the Wolverines.

Meanwhile, Hart County hadn't done well against Stephens County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Indians. The game was the first time the Bulldogs have beaten the Indians on their field since October 6, 2022.

Chesnee Strickland spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kinsley Duncan, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloie Lack, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

East Jackson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Hart County, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-14.
