Recap: Silverado Hawks vs. Oak Hills Bulldogs
It was a good run, but the Silverado Hawks unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 62-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oak Hills. Silverado was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Oak Hills apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Silverado still got an impressive performance from Elizabeth Udeze, who scored 18 points. Udeze is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last 14 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Belinda Rincon, who scored 12 points.
Silverado's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Oak Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.
Silverado will head out on the road to take on Barstow at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Barstow is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home. Oak Hills will take on Serrano at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Serrano will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 618th, while Oak Hills is ranked 160th).
