Hillgrove was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Osborne on Tuesday. The Hawks' pitchers stepped up to hand the Cardinals a 17-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won eight games by eight runs or more so far this season.

The win got Hillgrove back to even at 12-12. As for Osborne, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hillgrove will challenge South Paulding at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Osborne, they will take on Salem at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Seminoles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.3 runs per game on average), something the Cardinals will no doubt try to take advantage of.
