Softball Recap: North Rock Creek Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for North Rock Creek's offense. They fell 3-0 to the McLoud Redskins on Tuesday. Considering the last time the Cougars couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

Sophie Morris made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

North Rock Creek's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 21-6. As for McLoud, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 23-7-1.

Coming up, North Rock Creek will welcome Mannford at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for McLoud, they will head out on the road to square off against Harrah at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Redskins are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
