Football Recap: Shawnee Mission South Finds Home Field Redemption Against Shawnee Mission West + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Shawnee Mission South, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Shawnee Mission West Vikings by a score of 30-17 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Raiders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Shawnee Mission South didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Isaiah Channell and Corey Grant. Grant also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with seven. Shawnee Mission South got some further help from Rowan Minnick: he made 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defended one pass.

Shawnee Mission South's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-2. As for Shawnee Mission West, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
