Baseball Game Preview: Appleton North Lightning vs. Appleton East Patriots

The Appleton North Lightning are taking a road trip to challenge the Appleton East Patriots at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Appleton North and 11 for Appleton East.

On Tuesday, Appleton North didn't have quite enough to beat Oshkosh North and fell 4-3.

Meanwhile, Appleton East came up short against Fond du Lac on Tuesday and fell 7-3.

Appleton East's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Appleton North, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

Appleton North was able to grind out a solid victory over Appleton East in their previous matchup back in April, winning 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lightning since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
