Basketball Recap: Penn Cambria Falls Short of Forest Hills in the Playoffs

Penn Cambria and Forest Hills squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Penn Cambria had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 65-51 to the Forest Hills Rangers. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rachel Fisher, who went 5-for-10 en route to 11 points and three steals. Fisher is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Avery LeMaster was another key player, putting up nine points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Forest Hills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eva Myers, who posted 16 points and five boards. Myers continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Morgan Gdula, who had 11 points and five steals.

Penn Cambria's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Forest Hills, they pushed their record up to 16-8 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Penn Cambria nor Forest Hills have any future games scheduled.
