Basketball Recap: Midway Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Midway unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 38-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Johnston Trojans on Wednesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

South Johnston was led to victory by Audrey Peacock and Emajheya Mcneil. Peacock posted 11 points, while Mcneil put up ten points.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Midway will face off against Triton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Johnston, they will head out to take on Smithfield-Selma at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
