Evans has gone a perfect 7-0 against Burke County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Knights will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Bears at 9:00 a.m. Evans will be strutting in after a win while Burke County will be coming in after a loss.

While Evans' victory against Screven County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights skirted past the Gamecocks 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since August 21, 2024.

Braedyn Quarles was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Brittney Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Portal hit Burke County with a five-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bears lost 10-2 to the Panthers.

Burke County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madeleigh James, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Evans has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs this season. As for Burke County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Evans took their win against Burke County in their previous matchup back in August of 2024 by a conclusive 18-0 score. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
