Cartersville is 9-1 against Cass since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Hurricanes will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Colonels at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cartersville's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Dalton with a sharp 13-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hurricanes.

Presley Crabbe looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Zoie Shiflett, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinsey Woodard, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Cass gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-3 win over Woodland. The Colonels haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Cartersville took their win against Cass in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 9-0 score. Do the Hurricanes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Colonels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
