Softball Game Preview: Red Oak Tigers vs. Harlan Cyclones

The Red Oak Tigers will face off against the Harlan Cyclones at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Red Oak has now lost 18 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since May 31.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Red Oak's offense. They lost 12-0 to Atlantic on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Harlan also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Kuemper on Saturday, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Cyclones' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Red Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Harlan, their loss dropped their record down to 4-19.

Red Oak couldn't quite finish off Harlan when the teams last played back in June of 2024 and fell 7-5. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
