Soccer Game Preview: Marysville vs. Bear River

The Marysville Indians are taking a road trip to take on the Bear River Bruins at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece.

Marysville fell victim to Colfax and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 8-0 to the Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 924th, while the Falcons are ranked 162nd).

Meanwhile, Bear River also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Lincoln on Tuesday, falling 10-0.

Bear River's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15-2. As for Marysville, their loss dropped their record down to 6-15.

Everything went Marysville's way against Bear River in their previous meeting on January 7th, as Marysville made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Marysville since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
