Basketball Recap: South Pasadena Continues Home Dominance on Friday

South Pasadena extended their home winning streak to 11 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Mia Leach. The South Pasadena Tigers claimed a resounding 63-14 victory over the Monrovia Wildcats thanks in part to Leach, who posted 18 points along with five boards and three steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2023.

Madeline Park was another key player, putting up five points and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played.

South Pasadena's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Monrovia, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

South Pasadena has already played their next contest, a 70-53 loss against Shadow Hills on the 18th. As for Monrovia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-31 defeat against Temple City on the 20th.
