Central is 8-1-1 against Calexico since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Central Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Calexico Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Central is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Brawley on Friday. Central fell just short of Brawley by a score of 1-0. The shutout was out of character for the Spartans seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in January.

Meanwhile, Calexico didn't have quite enough to beat Hilltop on Friday and fell 2-1.

Central's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1-1 and their overall record down to 9-5-2. As for Calexico, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-6-1.

Central beat Calexico by a goal in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 3-2. Will Central repeat their success, or does Calexico have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
