Basketball Game Preview: North Hollywood Huskies vs. Poly Parrots

North Hollywood is 1-9 against Poly since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the North Hollywood Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the Poly Parrots at 12:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

North Hollywood is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Verdugo Hills on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. North Hollywood came up short against Verdugo Hills, falling 71-48. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 932nd, while the Dons are ranked 241st).

Meanwhile, after soaring to 77 points the game before, Poly was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They took a 36-21 bruising from Grant.

Poly's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for North Hollywood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-14.

North Hollywood couldn't quite finish off Poly in their previous meeting two weeks ago and fell 54-51. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Poly's Jhada Cordon, who went 10 of 19 to rack up 23 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Now that North Hollywood knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
