Softball Recap: Sequoyah Takes a Loss

Sequoyah came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Inola Longhorns, falling 14-6. The Eagles have struggled against the Longhorns recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Sequoyah's defeat dropped their record down to 14-18. As for Inola, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Sequoyah will head out to face off against Locust Grove at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Inola, they will venture away from home to challenge Union at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Redhawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.38 runs per game on average), something the Longhorns will no doubt try to take advantage of.
