Volleyball Recap: Cary Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Cary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Middle Creek Mustangs, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-20, 25-12.

Middle Creek found their leader in sophomore Cameron Gerber, who had five digs and three aces.

Cary's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Middle Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Cary will take on rival Cardinal Gibbons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Middle Creek is set to challenge their familiar foe Holly Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
