Mission Bay was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as La Jolla apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2021.
Despite the defeat, Mission Bay saw an underclassman step up: Jackie Quiachon scored 13 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. Quiachon scored a full 48.1% of Mission Bay's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Mission Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for La Jolla, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Mission Bay's road trip will continue as they head out to face Fallbrook at 1:30 p.m. on November 25th. Fallbrook will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for La Jolla, they will take on San Marcos at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Allowing an average of 52.5 points per game, San Marcos has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this matchup.
