Laguna Creek took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Cosumnes Oaks with a sharp 52-31 win.

Meanwhile, Pleasant Grove entered their tilt with Elk Grove on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They breezed by the Thundering Herd to the tune of 53-13. With the Eagles ahead 31-5 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Pleasant Grove is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.9 points per game. As for Laguna Creek, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-9.

Laguna Creek skirted past Pleasant Grove 53-51 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Laguna Creek since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
