Basketball Game Preview: Riverside Prep Silver Knights vs. Hesperia Christian Patriots

Riverside Prep is 2-8 against Hesperia Christian since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Riverside Prep Silver Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Hesperia Christian Patriots at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Riverside Prep is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Big Bear 67-27. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, Hesperia Christian entered their tilt with University Prep on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They enjoyed a cozy 48-30 victory over the Jaguars.

Hesperia Christian has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points per game. As for Riverside Prep, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.

Riverside Prep lost to Hesperia Christian on the road by a decisive 51-33 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Riverside Prep avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
