Gibraltar and Sevastopol pushed the score to 19-3 the last time they played Sevastopol, but on Tuesday defenses reigned supreme. The Vikings' pitchers stepped up to hand the Pioneers a 2-0 shutout. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Pioneers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Gibraltar's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Sevastopol, they dropped their record down to 8-9 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coming up, Gibraltar will venture away from home to square off against Lena at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.08 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
