Baseball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They came up short against the Sunapee Lakers, falling 10-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Gldn Tornadoes were not able to get on the board.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Sunapee, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3.

Coming up, Franklin will be playing at home against Nute at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Gldn Tornadoes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Sunapee, they will venture away from home to square off against Newport at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.76 runs per game on average), something the Lakers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
