Soccer Recap: Valley Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Burbank, Valley was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Johnson Warriors a 1-0 shutout. Mariana Aguirre had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Vikings.

Valley's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Johnson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley will venture away from home to face off against Florin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Johnson, they are taking a road trip to challenge West Campus at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Campus will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Johnson surely won't give up without a fight.
