Recap: St. Bernard's Crusaders vs. Sonoma Academy Coyotes
Make it nine blowout wins for the St. Bernard's Crusaders this season. Everything went their way against Sonoma Academy on Monday as St. Bernard's made off with a 52-27 win. The win was familiar territory for St. Bernard's who now have five in a row.
St. Bernard's was led to victory by Laila Florvilus and Madelyn Shanahan. Florvilus scored ten points, while Shanahan scored 13 points. Shanahan continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Samantha Sundberg, who scored seven points.
St. Bernard's is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. As for Sonoma Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Bernard's will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Campolindo at 5:00 p.m. on January 16th. Campolindo will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 324th, while St. Bernard's is ranked 141st). As for Sonoma Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Roseland University Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Roseland University Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
