Desert Christian was the 2-0 winner over Ash Fork when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell 2-0 to the Spartans on Friday. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17.

Rilyn Papanikolos paced Desert Christian's offense, picking up four kills. Papanikolos got some help from Abby Numer and her 11 assists.

Desert Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Ash Fork, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Desert Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Bagdad on the 12th. Hopefully Ash Fork paid attention to the Eagles' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
