Basketball Game Preview: Shikellamy Braves vs. Danville Ironmen

The Shikellamy Braves will take on the Danville Ironmen at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Shikellamy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Shikellamy turned things around against Midd-West on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Mustangs 70-22. Given the Braves' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Mustangs are ranked 676th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Danville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central Mountain.

Shikellamy's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Danville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Everything went Shikellamy's way against Danville in their previous meeting on January 7th, as Shikellamy made off with a 65-41 win. Will Shikellamy repeat their success, or does Danville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
