Basketball Recap: Bravo Takes a Loss

After soaring to 55 points the game before, Bravo was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Gardena Panthers an easy 47-22 victory. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Shamia Overton had a dynamite game for Gardena, shooting 4-for-6 from deep and dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Overton has scored at least a third of Gardena's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Sanchez, who posted six points in addition to six assists and three steals.

Bravo's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Gardena, they moved to 2-7 with that win, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.

Bravo has already played their next game, a 37-21 loss against Bernstein on the 19th. As for Gardena, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 31-28 victory against South East on the 19th.
