Baseball Game Preview: Clarkston Angoras vs. Marist War Eagles

The Clarkston Angoras will take on the Marist War Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Clarkston comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Clarkston played against St. Pius X Catholic on Wednesday and lost via forfeit.

Marist proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 11) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Maclay, sneaking past 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the War Eagles have posted since February 21st.

Marist has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. Clarkston's loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
