Basketball Recap: Gabby Delbridge and Laila Alexander Secure Win for Cristo Rey Philadelphia

Cristo Rey Philadelphia won the last time they faced Kohelet Yeshiva and things went their way on Wednesday too. Leading Cristo Rey Philadelphia to victory were Laila Alexander and Gabby Delbridge. Alexander posted ten points along with seven assists and seven boards, while Delbridge went 5 of 12 on her way to 13 points. Alexander is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least four every time she's taken the court this season. Alaejah Nixon was another key player, putting up six points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Cristo Rey Philadelphia smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in ten consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Kohelet Yeshiva had strong showings from Meytal Benjamini, who had ten points, and Tye Halpern, who posted seven points.

Cristo Rey Philadelphia pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Kohelet Yeshiva, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
