Softball Recap: Dickson Extends Winning Streak to Three

Dickson had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Tishomingo Indians. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-6 last Tuesday.

Mischa Ortega spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on 11 hits.

At the plate, Dickson's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Emma Gore, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Dickson's victory bumped their record up to 17-12. As for Tishomingo, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-16.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Dickson beat the Indians by a score of 5-4 on Thursday.
