You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Mulvane's strategy against McPherson on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Wildcats blew the Bullpups out of the water with a 34-3 final score. Considering the Wildcats have won four matchups by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

A big part of Mulvane's win came down to the chemistry between Manny Myers and his top target Grady Myers. Manny rushed for 119 yards and one TD while Grady rushed for 190 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry.

The victory (which was Mulvane's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.8 points over those games. As for McPherson, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mulvane will host Field Kindley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Golden Tornado's rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for McPherson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Augusta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bullpups are facing the Orioles at the right time seeing as the Orioles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
