Softball Recap: Rutland Comes Up Short

Rutland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Central Chargers, falling 15-3. The Hurricanes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Rutland saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Brackett, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. That hit was Brackett's first of the season.

Rutland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Rutland will be playing at home against Crawford County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Central, they will head out to take on East Laurens at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
