Considering the Yellow Jackets have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Lowndes sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 win over Lee County on Monday.

Lowndes' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-10. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Thomas County Central, their victory bumped their record up to 12-14.

Thomas County Central took their win against Lowndes in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 14-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellow Jackets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
