Soccer Recap: Piedmont Comes Up Short

Piedmont fell victim to Berkeley and their airtight defense on Friday. They fell just short of the Berkeley Yellowjackets by a score of 1-0.

Piedmont has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7-2 record this season. As for Berkeley, their win bumped their record up to 5-7-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Piedmont will host Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Liberty will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Piedmont surely won't give up without a fight. As for Berkeley, they will be playing at home against Encinal at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Berkeley's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
