The Rolling Hills Prep Huskies will challenge the Webb Gauls at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Rolling Hills Prep sitting on four straight wins and Webb on six.
Rolling Hills Prep is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Temecula Prep, sneaking past 5-3.
Matthew Moyer was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Rolling Hills Prep is undefeated when Moyer posts ten or more strikeouts, but 8-11 otherwise. Moyer was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

In other batting news, Samuel Lopez was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs. He has become a key player for Rolling Hills Prep: the team is 7-3 when he posts at least three hits, but 4-8 otherwise. Alex Hernandez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Webb). They put the hurt on Crossroads Christian with a sharp 24-15 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Gauls, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.
Webb got a massive performance out of Andres Caballero, who got on base in all six of his plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Caballero has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Michel Fountain, who went 3-for-6 with four runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
Webb kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
The win got Rolling Hills Prep back to even at 11-11. As for Webb, their victory bumped their record up to 9-13.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Rolling Hills Prep has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Webb struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
