Basketball Game Preview: Mira Costa Mustangs vs. Redondo Union Sea Hawks

Mira Costa hasn't had much luck against Redondo Union recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Mira Costa Mustangs will challenge the Redondo Union Sea Hawks at 5:30 p.m. Mira Costa is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

On Saturday, Mira Costa didn't have too much trouble with El Segundo as they won 63-49. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while the Eagles are ranked 360th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Redondo Union slipped by Shadow Hills 39-38 on Saturday.

Redondo Union's record is now 15-12. As for Mira Costa, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season.

Mira Costa was able to grind out a solid victory over Redondo Union in their previous matchup back in January, winning 46-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mira Costa since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
