Audenried and Neumann-Goretti squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Audenried had to settle for second. They took a 61-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saints. The Rockets' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Audenried still got an impressive performance from Shayla Smith, who posted 38 points.

Neumann-Goretti got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carryn Easley out in front who earned 15 points in addition to five assists and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Reginna Baker, who scored 17 points and six rebounds.

Audenried's defeat dropped their record down to 23-8. As for Neumann-Goretti, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season.

Audenried does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Neumann-Goretti, they will take on Lansdale Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lansdale Catholic will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Neumann-Goretti surely won't give up without a fight.
