Football Game Preview: Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds vs. De Soto Wildcats + How To Watch

Shawnee Heights hasn't had much luck against De Soto recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Thunderbirds will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Shawnee Heights has given up an average of 41 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Shawnee Heights and Leavenworth have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The matchup between the Thunderbirds and the PIONEERS didn't end well, with the Thunderbirds falling 43-29.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Aiden Scott, who threw for 409 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt. Shawnee Heights' leading receiver AJ Gallegos was Scott's top target yet again, picking up 157 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when De Soto took on Basehor-Linwood on Friday. The Wildcats took a 42-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (34), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

Having lost for the first time this season, De Soto fell to 3-1. As for Shawnee Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
