Meanwhile, Coventry entered their tilt with Somers on Tuesday with 16 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 17. They put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 15-2 victory. Considering the Patriots have won 15 matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Dominic DeAngelis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. DeAngelis was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, Mather Spear was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jack Siena, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and six RBI.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Windsor Locks has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Coventry struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Windsor Locks might still be hurting after the 16-0 loss they got from Coventry when the teams last played back in April. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
