Baseball Game Preview: Whitefield Academy WolfPack vs. Pace Academy Knights

The Whitefield Academy WolfPack will challenge the Pace Academy Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Whitefield Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Pace Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Whitefield Academy is returning home triumphant after the team finally put their road woes behind them against Seffner Christian on Saturday. The WolfPack came out on top against the Crusaders by a score of 6-1.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Pace Academy and Westminster, and Pace Academy kept the tradition alive. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 5-4.

Alston Mallis was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Mallis was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other pitching news, Sawyer Barnette looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

The victory got Pace Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Whitefield Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Whitefield Academy might still be hurting after the 20-11 loss they got from Pace Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2025. Can the WolfPack avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
