Baseball Recap: Southeast Whitfield County Comes Up Short

Southeast Whitfield County lost against Kennesaw Mountain back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Southeast Whitfield County Raiders came up short against the Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs, falling 13-1. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Southeast Whitfield County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tucker Townsend, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Mason Williams also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Southeast Whitfield County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Kennesaw Mountain, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Coming up, Southeast Whitfield County will head out on the road to challenge Hiram at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. Southeast Whitfield County has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Kennesaw Mountain, they will host McEachern at 5:55 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Kennesaw Mountain has won three straight at home, while McEachern won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
