Soccer Game Preview: Hoover vs. Stow-Munroe Falls

The Hoover Vikings will venture away from home to challenge the Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Hoover is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against McKinley on Tuesday as they made off with a 7-0 win. The victory continues a trend for Hoover in their matchups with McKinley: they've now won eight in a row.

Hoover's offense was hitting McKinley from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Jack Streb led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Stow-Munroe Falls has been on a difficult stretch since their win on the 6th. They and North Royalton finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday.

Hoover's win bumped their record up to 5-3-4. Stow-Munroe Falls' draw makes their record 4-5-3 this season.

Hoover beat Stow-Munroe Falls 5-3 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
