Soccer Game Preview: Inderkum vs. Pleasant Valley

The Inderkum Tigers will challenge the Pleasant Valley Vikings at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.

Inderkum took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand Del Campo a 2-0 shutout. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Cougars are ranked 342nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in November, Pleasant Valley was forced to settle for a draw last Saturday. They and Whitney finished up their match with a 1-1 draw.

Inderkum pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. Pleasant Valley's draw gives them a new season record of 4-2-2.
