Softball Recap: Sumter County Wins Going Away Against Kendrick

Sumter County got themselves on the board against Kendrick on Thursday, but Kendrick never followed suit. They blew past the Cherokees 15-0. Considering the Panthers have won eight matchups by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Sumter County got a massive performance out of Alasia Colwell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI Colwell has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Candace Pitts, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Sumter County now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Kendrick, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

As of now, neither Sumter County nor the Cherokees have any future games scheduled.
