Piedmont Hills put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Lincoln Lions. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Lions are ranked 309th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Piedmont Hills hit Lincoln with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sophia Johnson, Sophia Norton, and Adelyn King.

Piedmont Hills' win bumped their record up to 5-0-3. As for Lincoln, they moved to 5-2 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Piedmont Hills and Silver Creek will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
