Baseball Recap: Whitmer Takes a Loss

Whitmer couldn't beat St. Francis de Sales on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the sixth inning. The Panthers fell just short of the Knights by a score of 6-5.

Tyler Summers made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Isreal Rickner, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Whitmer's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for St. Francis de Sales, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-11-1.

The teams wasted no time getting back out on the field as they've already faced off again: they played to a 0-0 tie later that day.
