Softball Recap: Echols County Takes a Loss

Echols County fell victim to Lanier County and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 15-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 15-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Echols County has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Lanier County, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Echols County will challenge Clinch County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lanier County, they will square off against Long County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
