Basketball Recap: Agnes Irwin Takes a Loss

Agnes Irwin entered their game against Blair Academy on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Agnes Irwin Owls were dealt a 64-31 defeat at the hands of the Blair Academy Bucs. The match marked the Owls' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Agnes Irwin saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Audrey Comly went 5 of 8 on her way to 14 points. Another player making a difference was Gabrielle Seibert, who posted six points and three steals.

Agnes Irwin's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-6. As for Blair Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.
